Therapy Services
Our counselors view clients as experts of their own experiences, as such, our approach is a collaborative process where clients feel empowered to have a voice in deciding what interventions work best for them. Recognizing that not everyone likes to talk, we utilize creative mediums, including art, music, movement/sport, and play, to help clients express their inner experiences.
We recognize that everyone’s journey in therapy is unique and do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach. Instead, we integrate a variety of interventions that are supported by research and tailored to our client’s unique strengths and circumstances. These approaches may include (but are not limited to):
● Psychodynamic/relational therapy
● Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
● Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
● Mindfulness/meditation
● Narrative therapy
● Family systems therapy
We emphasize the importance of ensuring a good therapist-client fit when delivering therapy services. As such, we regularly check in with clients about their experience in the therapeutic relationship. In the event that either clients or their counselor feel that the pairing is not in the best interest of the client, we are happy to provide referrals to other providers who may be a better fit.
